Charlotte Ronson mixes feminine prints and sportswear for fall 2015

Charlotte Ronson, the London-born designer who is famous for her collaborations with Uniqlo, Urban Outfitters and JCPenney, as well as for her large list of fans that includes Blake Lively, Kirsten Dunst, Nicole Richie, Rihanna, Diane Kruger, Leighton Meester and Kate Moss, presented some days ago her fall 2015 collection during Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week. Ronson paid homage to the purity of the late 60’s sportswear, combining soft lines with oversized florals, granite prints and bold laces. The collection also included military-inspired trousers, cropped jackets, sensual sheer tops, lacy midi skirts, jersey dresses and short, knitted sweaters with high necklines that were inspired, according to the designer, by the serenity of nature coupled with an abstract urban setting.

The color palette was playful, including, apart from the usual black and grey, cobalt blue, olive green, pink, plum and burgundy. Blurring the lines between high street fashion and classic femininity, the well balanced collection was an immediate hit with Ronson’s unconditional fans, including twin sister and famous DJ Samantha Ronson (who was in charge of the show’s music soundtrack), her brother, celebrated music producer Mark Ronson, her mother, jewellery designer Ann Dexter Jones, as well as celebrities of the likes of Paris Hilton, Lilla Crawford, Angela Simmons, Nate Ruess and Cory Kennedy. Edgy but wearable, Ronson’s evocative designs are here to stay.
