Cheap Monday opens Paris store and launches Mona Lisa “C’est cheap” capsule collection

In celebration of its first ever store in Paris, Cheap Monday, the Swedish denim brand that became worldwide famous for its fashionable but affordable jeans, is launching a limited-edition capsule collection. The Paris collection is inspired by the city’s most iconic characters, among them Mona Lisa or Jeanne d’Arc, and consists of a wide range of jeans, jackets, shirts, skirts and T-shirts. It also features an interesting line of accessories, including shoulder and tote bags, knits, jewelry kits and a scarf. “C’est cheap” tagline is printed on various garments of the collection, showing the brand’s cheeky sense of humor and stealing the spotlight even from Mona Lisa.

“Since we are opening a store in the fashion capital of the world we thought what better inspiration than Paris itself?” says Ann-Sofie Back, the brand’s creative director. Cheap Monday’s Paris store is part of the brand’s strategy to establish flagship stores in the world’s most interesting fashion cities and, of course, Paris was on the top of the list. Located on 121 Rue Vieille du Temple, in the hip Marais district, the store will stock the entire Cheap Monday range, with womenswear, menswear, jeans and in-season collections, as well as baby, accessories, underwear and shoes. C’est definitely chic, Cheap Monday!
