Discover Jenifer Corker’s Paris Fashion Week embroidery artworks for SHOWstudio

Jenifer Croker is a multi-disciplinary artist and jeweler from England, with a BA in Fashion & Textiles from Middlesex Polytechnic and an MA in Metalwork & Jewellery from the RCA. She has founded her own jewellery company, experimenting with the juxtaposition of different materials and found objects, and combining precious and semi precious stones and pearls. Throughout her extraordinary career, she has collaborated with fashion label Bodymap for a series of costumes for the Michael Clark Dance Company, she has launched a dazzling collection of bespoke dog collars from sterling silver, brass and silver, and she has appeared in all major fashion publications, from Elle and i-D to The Face. The careful consideration of proportion and texture is a key element in her pieces that have been featured at the British Museum as well as at Harvey Nichols and Harrods.

Jenifer Corker’s latest adventure is a series of artworks that combine embroidery and ink and reinterpret her favorite pieces from the Paris Fashion Week f/w 2014-15 collections of Hussein Chalayan, Chanel, Givenchy, Giambattista Valli, Haider Ackermann, Céline, Yohji Yamamoto, Miu Miu, Rick Owens, Valentino, Gareth Pugh, Iris Van Herpen, Balenciaga and Dries Van Noten. Jenifer Corker depicted in her very special way the spirit of the collections as well as the color palette and the hidden details of the pieces, reminding us that fashion is still capable of triggering our imagination. The amazing sewn artworks are a special collaboration with Nick Knight´s SHOWstudio and form part of its Paris Fashion Week special. Enjoy!
