Jeremy Scott and Adidas Originals collaborate for a new, limited edition fragrance

After releasing back in November his first fragrance for Moschino, Jeremy Scott has now teamed up with Adidas Originals for a new unisex fragrance that will premiere worldwide this February. The fragrance comes in a limited edition of 10,000 units and its bottle is a clear crystal reinterpretation of Mercury’s sandals, paying homage at the same time to Scott’s iconic Wings 2.0 sneakers for Adidas. The scent, which was created in collaboration with renowned perfumers Maurice Roucel and Philippe Roques, was meant to resemble the smell of “white towels freshly laundered on a summer’s day” and includes notes of Calabrian bergamot, incense, white pepper and cashmere wood.

“I got the go-ahead and started working on the fragrance and trying to create something unique that I felt was from me, which is such a difficult thing, because my talents lie in the visual and not in the olfactory. It’s been a real process and journey,” Scott told WWD about his new perfume that is developed in collaboration with Coty and comes in a shoebox-inspired package. “A lot of my design is very non-gender specific. So, in a way, it ended up reflecting what I do in fashion,” he added. With an advertising campaign featuring the designer himself and shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the new fragrance is about to hit the stores on February 1, 2015.
