Missoni takes over Milan with its iconic graphics and patters for “Missonized city”

Missoni pays tribute to Milan’s monuments and architecture with “Missonized city”, a playful take on the city’s heritage through the trademark Missoni colors and patterns. The project is a collaboration with graphic designer Federico Maccapani and was initially created as part of Missoni’s Instagram initiative (hashtag #missoniwonderland) to create some buzz in anticipation of this year’s Salone del Mobile of Milan. From space-dye patterns on the Arco della Pace to the Missoni logo amidst the spires of the Duomo, “Missonized city” soon became viral and was turned into an overnight success. The project served as the perfect aperitif for Missoni’s Wonderland installation at the Salone del Mobile, which offered design enthusiasts the chance to stretch out on carpets and ottomans and admire on the ceiling a fully laid table turned upside down, featuring the new “Missoni by Richard Ginori” zigzag and floral dinnerware collections. We leave you with the fantastic photos of “Missonized city” that capture perfectly the essence of Missoni’s colorful and humorous spirit, hoping this is only the start of an upcoming series of worldwide Missonized cities!
