Paul Smith collaborates with Led Zeppelin for a series of limited edition scarves

Iconic British designer and famous music lover Paul Smith has collaborated with legendary rock group Led Zeppelin for a series of exceptional limited edition scarves that are inspired by Led Zeppelin’s album covers. The collaboration celebrates the launch of the newly re-mastered versions of Led Zeppelin’s nine studio albums that started earlier this year with “Led Zeppelin”, “Led Zeppelin II” and “Led Zeppelin III” and will continue this month with “Led Zeppelin IV” and “The Houses of the Holy”.

Paul Smith, who also teamed up last year with David Bowie for a special edition T-shirt and a red vinyl version of “The Next Day” album, used new photographic weaving techniques and colored yarns in order to reinterpret the band’s album artwork in 6 magnificent, jacquard-woven scarves. Five of the designs correspond to Led Zeppelin’s first five albums, with a sixth scarf featuring a brand new motif, especially created for the occasion. Each scarf measures 1.5 meters by 1.5 meters and is a limited edition of 50.

The Led Zeppelin × Paul Smith scarves will be available to purchase exclusively at Paul Smith’s Albemarle Street store in London and online, starting from October 23, 2014.
