“The armchair of thousand eyes” by Fendi and the Campana brothers

Bringing high-end design and fashion together, Fendi collaborated with renowned Brazilian designers Fernando and Humberto Campana for a series of one-of-a-kind pieces, among them a spectacular chair titled “The armchair of thousand eyes”. The pieces debuted some days ago during the 2015 edition of Salone del Mobile in Milan, the world’s most important design fair, with great success. The Campana brothers are worldwide famous for their innovative approach to design, often using found objects and ordinary materials like wood scraps, cardboards, ropes, rubber hoses and furry toys for their upcycled creations that represent the spirit of modern Brazil.

For the occasion, the designers used more than 100 of the iconic Fendi Bag Bugs —a series of playful, monster-inspired charms made of leather, mink and fox furstitching them together in the most imaginative way. “The armchair of thousand eyes” is a new interpretation of their limited edition Banquete chairs, made of sewn together stuffed animals, proving that the talented designers are capable of constantly reinventing themselves. The armchair was revealed at a special event held at the Fendi boutique in Milan, with guests including Anna Dello Russo, Micol Sabbadini, Candela Novembre, Filippo Cirulli, Filippo Fiora, Paolo Stella, Eleonora Carisi, Valentina Siragusa, Patricia Manfield and Giotto Calendoli.
