The enchanted garden of Erin Fetherston

Erin Fetherston presented some days ago, during New York Fashion Week, her s/s 2015 collection, an elegant mix of “Grimaldi glamour and California cool” that captivated the fashion crowd. Titled “Moonlight and Roses”, the collection was inspired by Fetherston’s love for gardens and her grandmother’s personal collection of 1960s botanical prints. The designer used a modern mix of laces, jacquards, organza and printed neoprene, pairing playful florals with bold blacks and bright whites in capricious dots and degradé stripes, all with amazing results.

“I wanted the collection to feel like you’re walking through an enchanted garden,” said Fetherston before the show, inviting the public to get lost in a fairytale universe of flowering fields and blossoming roses. Fetherston, who got back to the runaway after seasons of presentations, proved once more that she really knows how to create clothes that are feminine and romantic and, at the same time, fashionable and versatile, “perfect for a walk in the park or a stroll under the moonlight”. We leave you with her inspiring s/s 2015 collection, as seen through the lense of Berlin-based photographer Sophie Stobbe. Enjoy!
