The fashionable world of Todd Selby

After “The Selby is in your place” and “Edible Selby” books, Todd Selby explores the inspiring world of fashion with his latest monographic, titled “Fashionable Selby”. The 348-page book takes us inside the studios, workshops and homes of some of the most talented designers, stylists, haberdashers, models and shoemakers, offering a glimpse of the way they live and work, the materials they use, the people they work with, their inspirations and the creative process they follow. “Edible Selby” features Todd Selby’s signature photographs and watercolor illustrations, along with a series of hand written Q&A’s that offer some interesting insights into the every-day lives of 42 creatives, from Dries Van Noten and Isabel Marant to Giuseppe Zanotti, Nicola Formichetti and Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing. Apart from the big names, the book also captures some of fashion’s best-kept secrets and rising stars like Iris Van Herpen or Lindsay Degen.

“Moving from home to food to fashion just made sense to me,” said the celebrated photographer and illustrator who spent three years travelling the world in order to compile the book. “There are so many colorful characters in fashion and there’s so much about that world that people don’t know. I thought I had a lot of to contribute by showing a different side of it.” “Edible Selby” is published by Abrams, with an introduction by Simon Doonan, and is now available in selected bookstores and online.
