YVY joins forces with PKHC for “Punk Not Dead” headpieces

Swiss designer Yvonne Reichmuth, creative director of leather accessories brand YVY, has teamed up with compatriot Pablo Kümin, global ambassador for Balmain Hair and Art Director at Haar Vital, for a series of punk-inspired headpieces, titled “Punk Not Dead”. The elaborate creations bring together Yvonne’s leather craftsmanship with PKHC’s real hair extensions, and the results are simply amazing. Yvonne used Italian, vegetable tanned leather in order to turn PKHC’s extravagant hairstyles into intricate punk armors, combining Punk’s “Do it yourself” attitude with haute couture’s meticulous attention to detail.

As the designer puts it, it’s a “unique combination of Swiss expertise and out-of-this-world design fantasies” that stays true to the brand’s sustainable approach to fashion and its desire for experimentation and innovation. YVY x PKHC handmade headpieces were recently featured in a special editorial for New York-based “Institute” magazine, shot by German photographer Christoph Köstlin. We leave you with the captivating images that catch perfectly the uncompromising spirit of the collection and stand as an excellent proof that punk chic is definitely not dead!
